Hey guys... been researching this pretty hard and have found mixed answers... so figured I would ask specifically.

My 2014 screw has mid-perch and I want to get 20x9 or 20x10 Fuel Hostage's with 35/12.5/20 Trail Grapplers or Open Country M/T and can deal with a *little* rubbing (if only at full lock).

My question: what effect (and should I consider) getting 20x9 with 295/60/20 instead of 20x10 with 35/12.5/20? I want the deep lip (20x10) and aggressive tire (35/12.5), just don't want to rip off my fenders or liners.

Your help is appreciated and Happy New Year!

I know this in no way answers your question but, i see you have the SE wheels, which in my opinion are really nice looking. If i where you i would just go for stock wheels mid perch and 35 Toyos. I think that would look killer. Again sorry for not answering your question lol

haha thanks buddy. I, too, like the stocker SE wheels... just wish they stuck out a bit further and had a wider lip between the ring and the hub.

I live in south fl... not much real off-roading going on here... but damnit I'll look good in the parking lot!:supergay:

As long as you go with as close to 0 offset you should be fine with around 5 inch backspace on the wheels. I have 20x9 BMF novakane stealth with 0 offset and 5 inch backspacing on Nitto Trail Grappler 35x12.5x20 tires with no rubbing at all on mid-perch.

I have the Fuel Hostage 20x9 wheels with 35X12.5 Toyo MT's on mid perch. No rubbing at all, on or off road. My Hostage wheels are a +1 offset. I am about a month away from putting 37's on.
