You need to look at load & inflation tables to get the right answer
The LT315/70R17 OE calls for 44 psi. which carries 2915 lbs. of load.
That becomes the target to meet or exceed when changing tires.
A 37X12.50R17LT carries 3005 lbs. of load @ 40 psi.
Way more tires die an ugly death from under inflation than anything else! It results in increased heat build up that eventually causes premature tire failure. At best you get less tread life, studies show as little as 2 psi under inflation costing 10% reduction in mileage.
Depending if you have Baja T/A or Baja T/A KR there is also an increased probability that you'll experience cracking in the shoulder area of the KR with lower inflation. It's a race tire & doesn't use the anti ozone & age resistors in the compound that the street tire uses, increased heat aggravates that issue.

Off Road is a different story where the surface & speed dictate what will work best for you.
At higher per-run speeds 32 psi is a decent place to start still providing a good amount of pinch shock protection in the sidewall.
At a brisk pace you can get down to the 26-28 psi range which will help ride & traction but reduce pinch shock resistance.
In soft surfaces sand/silt less than 15 psi but you increase the chances of pinch shock, unseating the beads goes way up! Ideally increasing the pressure once you get out of that mess.

Great info!!!
