Default Tire upgrade question
Looking to get some new tires for my gen 1. Not sure if I should go with another set of OEM, or the Goodyear Duratracs. I live in Massachusetts so I need something that handles ice and snow, as well as being good on city/highway. I would also like something that can handle some light off-roading. Thanks guys!

Fwiw, I'm going with General grabber x3s... I hear great things.

If snow is more of a concern than off-road capability then I would definitely choose the Duratrac over the K02. But you may also want to look at the Nitto Ridge Grappler. It's really a much more modern tire.

I've been running the Falken AT3W in the winter in Tahoe. Snowflake winter approved, nice deep tread lugs, sipes are really deep too. This is definitely my new winter recommendation.

Pretty familiar with snow here in Denver. I run Duratracs all year round. They're excellent.
dataustin and Jimster58 like this.

Before I had my Raptor I had a ‘13 Super Duty. Ran both Duratracs and KO2’s in 325/60-20. The only good thing I can say about the KO2’s when comparing both is they are quieter. Other then that it was Duratracs hands down. Even got 70k miles out of them.

How is the road noise compared to KO's?

While I don't see snow, tomorrow I am installing my 4th set of Duratracs. The only down side I have is that they get louder the closer you get to 50k miles.

Very similar if not a little quieter. They'll probably remain quieter throughout their life span with the full depth tread sipes. And they're warrantied for 55k.
