I have to get new tires for the winter I’m looking at the KO2’s because they have the snow flake and in Canada that gets me a insurance discount in the winter. Plus I didn’t really have any issues with the original KOs.

My question is, there are two different tire sizes available at two different prices.

35-12.5-R17 and the 31570R17 ~( 34.4X12.4R17). My understanding is that the metric size is a lot more common and $40 bucks cheaper a tire.

My question, is the 35” tire truly 35? or is it the same tire from the same mold and I might as well buy the cheaper metric size? Has anyone seen both sizes is there a difference?

(I’m coming from 37” Toyo MT summers so the stock KO tires always looked tiny when I switch them every winter)

Thanks,
Dan

Just buy one of these stickers and glue it on your tires, done.

hahaha I would except with my luck I get into an accident, insurance sees they are not snow rated and I said they were and insurance is voided. lol

I'm leaning towards the 315s. I see that there is a E and C rating for these tires, does that impact the tread life at all or just the sidewall stiffness? Any suggestions?

The 315 is OEM Raptor specific.

And I'm not sure if you can get the C rated tire they are made for the Gen 2 which is lighter.

Never mind I see Tire Rack does have the C rated for sale. But there is a 600 lbs. weight capacity between the two 315

I wish I would have waited two more weeks before I bought mine I could have saved $200, O well

I compared the stock 315 KO's to my new 35 KO2s and the difference was so minimal, just save the money

OK, I think there is some confusion here.

There are 3 tires available in the "same" size, not 2.

PART NUMBERS TIRE SIZE, LOAD INDEX & SPEED RATING
58424 LT315/70R17/C 113 S $243 ea + shipping
08806 LT315/70R17/E 121 S $280 ea + shipping
50022 35x12.50R17/E 121 R $288 ea + shipping

Prices are the non-sale prices from Tirerack.
The 08806 is on sale for $245 each and the 50022 is on sale for $260 each.
BFG has a $70 rebate going too.

No confusion, the OP was asking about the 315 and the 35
Then in the forth post he commented on the C rated 315

I am very interested to see how the C rated 315 would hold up on the first Gen
I have voiced my opinion in the BFG KO2 thread about the load rating,
just curious if there really actually is an issue with the load rating being 600 lbs. lighter. And the truck weighing 6200+ lbs.
