I appreciate all the feedback, thanks!

Plus I learned a new term today "sipes", invented by John Sipe to keep his shoes from slipping on a wet surfaces.

I would recommend the KO2 tire as well. I have used both he original KO tires and the KO2 in heavy rain and the KO2 are excellent. I have been using them for about 10,000km so far and they been great on soaking wet pavement as well as off-road on soaked gravel and clay roads.

I live in the wet ass Pacific Northwest and the BFG KO2 have been fantastic in the wet. Our roads are tore up from people insisting to drive on studded tires for 6 months out of the year in preparation for the 1 day a year we see ice. That being said, the asphalt is rutted out and water pools in the ruts which can cause someone to hydroplane. I haven't had any issues in the 9 months of wet a year.

Match the tires to your driving style.
Switching from a set of DuraTracs to KO2s was a big disappointment.
Sold them to a fellow member here from CA and he was happy with them.
Did you go back to Duratracs?

Looks like you're the only one in the PNW that didn't like the new KO2'S in the rain.

The KO2s are not bad in the rain, but compared to the Durtracs there're just average.
The Duratrac will outperform the KO2 in every way but longevity.
And no, I now have 37" Cooper STT Pros, but should Goodyear ever make the Duratrac in 37s I'll be right back on them!

How are you guys wearing out duratracs? I have 28,000 miles on mine and they are all still above 11/32. Maybe because mine are E rated???
