not sure the mind set of this 37 thing? whats wrong with 35's that require NO work, and you can drive anywhere you want?

They do provide more compliance offroad and ride better over washboard, small ruts etc.
That said, if you're not going to do it right with fenders and gearing, you're doing more harm than good in the name of fashion... Whenever I see 37's with stock fenders it screams "mall crawler" to me. That's just me though, the general public is perhaps not as enlightened.

To the op, the fender lips are not your problem, the firewall pinch seam and the fender liners themselves are your interference points.

3.0's run out enough turns to give you clearance, trim and hammer, 37" BFG's (really 36.x) running on zero offset wheels. Would be even easier on stock wheels but I don't have clearance for my aftermarket UCA's.

I've just always hated the poser look of aftermarket fenders. But that's just me.

Bigger tires really do smooth out the offroad ride, though.
