Tune and knock!

My truck is knocking on SVC tune. Varied gas, varied global spark, still knocking... so I did couple logs and emailed to SVC, was told that the tuner cannot find anything wrong.... So I am out of ideas now. Where should I start to pin point the problem? Bad coils, plugs and injectors? Would any of those throw codes?

BTW, when I do datalog using X4, there's always this "manifold absolute pressure item failed to setup" warning window at initial start. Does this indicate any problems? or it's normal? Haven't heard back from SVC since, so I guess I am on my own now... ANY suggestions, please!

Have you tried a different tune or returned back to stock to see if it still does it. May not be a hardware issue but a tune issue

^^^ this. Would suggest starting at baseline again and determining if you still have knock. If not, you know it's tune related.

Stock tune doesn't knock.. at least I cannot hear anything. However I don't remember it was knocking neither when I first loaded the tune. Maybe I didn't notice? cannot recall.

At this point I just don't know where to start trouble shooting...

Try this,
Return the truck back to stock.
Remove and save the SVC Tune and any others you have to your PC from the X4.
If you have the most current Tune saved in an email, then just delete the one on the X4.

Update firmware and software again on the X4. Using a PC ( I hope )
Then reload the SVC Tune back onto the X4.

This will allow the X4 to configure the Tune.

The SCT company is always putting out updates for the X4

Updated X4, deleted tune on X4, then reloaded. Will do oil change tomorrow, then give it one more try.

Can anyone explain the "manifold absolute pressure" warning screen? I used SVC file to run the datalog, always got that screen on first log.

Did this, plus an oil change, switched to royal purple from mobil 1. Set global spark to -2 (still run 91 octane). It still knocks BUT much less and lighter!! Before I did this, it knocks the same no matter what number the global spark is.

Is it safe to drive like this? Maybe I should try -4 see if it will get rid of the knock completely...

Try it, with -4 you should feel a very slight performance drop.
If you feel no difference, I really don't know what else to say.
