Which supercharger to buy??
Hi there,
Just curious what supercharger kit everyone would recommend? I have a 2013 Raptor and would like to supercharge it. I'm partial to the Whipple kit as I've heard good things but am certainly open to the Roush kit too. At the end of the day I just want a good reliable kit that has been very well designed. I don't necessarily need the most horsepower as I'm sure both will offer plenty of smiles. Also curious how it has affected anyone's mileage?

You really can't go wrong going with the Whipple setup.
And with Livernois doing cams now and a Tune giving more options to upgrade down the road.
It's not eco boost that's for sure.
Mileage is going to take a hit with any forced air system about 1.5 to 2 mpg more if your an animal. LOL

If you are going to have a street queen then a SC is a good thing. Take them where I go then they will be a pain in the long run.

whipple is a solid compay, i havent heard any negative reviews on them. whipple should make more power of the 2
roush is a good company as well and ford uses them to make the ford roush raptor so they must be pretty damn reliable

My vote out of those 2 would be for the whipple. The 2.3 TVS is a good blower, but it doesn't have the efficiency of a screw blower. Plus, with the whipple being a 2.9 liter it has more upgrade potential, Say if you were to put a built 6.6 under it ;)

I would also have to say the whipple is the way to go. After having one in my mustang and how much fun I had with it, I am a whipple customer for life.

There seems to be a little confusion about getting a Roush Raptor through a dealership!!!
I want to make this completely clear!!!!!
The Ford Motor Company does not warranty a SC Raptor!!!!!!!!!!!
If you order a Roush Raptor through a Dealer all you are getting is the 3 year 36,000 mile Supplemental Warranty that the STOCK Roush SC at 525 fwhp comes with.
This is a Roush warranty that is included with the purchase.
I think $14,000 is insane IMO to have a SC Raptor thats missing a whole lot of HP. Unless you think the Roush stickers are worth the money.
Now you guys know that I'm partial to Whipple and always will be. And I'm not trashing Roush, Roush does great stuff.
The Whipple has a Supplemental warranty as well 3 year 36,000 for $525
You can tell your dealer you want a Whipple installed and you don't even have to send it anywhere.
And Save a ton of coin for other upgrades.
Better yet, is to tell the dealer to have SVT drive it down the block over to Livernois and get some real over the top HP in that beast.

I would recommend Roush. But that's just me. :P
3 year 36k extended warranty. Powertrain and drivetrain covered.
And the customer service with Roush is a freaking dream.
