Bit of a ridiculous comparison. A brand new (not broken in) stock truck vs a highly modified truck. Oh, producer built the modified truck.

Then they race on public roads... gen1 is a great truck and so is the gen2, but the video...

The video has been around for a while, all the Gen2 say the same thing, "wait till you hit 3000 miles" and all the power will turn on. LMAO

Engines are broken in before Ford sets them in the chassis. There is a whole video on it!!!

A blower and cat back exhaust is not HIGHLY modified, that's considered mild.
Twin turbos is considered highly modded, oh wait it's ecoboost never mind.

I race on public roads too.

BTW, they are both great trucks, I'm just one of those that needs 8

Imagine that the ecoboost is ,what? 700 lbs lighter or 500? I would like to see a race with equal weight. Say put 700 or 500 lbs in the back of the eco-boost then see how it does! I can only imagine how a 6.2l wold do in the new generation Raptor!! Cool Video!

I'd like to see that vs a modded ecoboost. The 6.2 would be standing still.

The Gen 1 is on Toyo 37s with beadlocks. Those would be 35 pounds or so heavier per wheel.

It doesn't say if the Gen 1 is a Roush or a Whipple, stage 1 or stage 2, headers/tune, etc. There's a 100+ horsepower difference range there.

The Gen 2 is very quick stock, though. No argument from me. But nobody seems to be modding them. They're all too afraid to own an ecoboost without a warranty.

Not really, they're still new man. Wait for a turbo upgrade then I'm sure people will jump in. I've done almost everything I can. I just need the turbo upgrade and we will see how good it is.
