I went on the Exo Victorville to Vegas run today. My resivor leaked everywhere out of the overflow tube even with the brand new rack and ford Mercon V fluid. Now I have to clean the whole engine bay with degreaser and back to the drawing board

Aside from leaking did you have any other issues with your power steering?

I did the resivor and cooler as a precautionary mod. My Steering never gave me problems. Recently, my rack began leaking and it was replaced under warranty. Other than that, no Steering problems. (Knock on wood)

Well here is my fix. I reused the rpg resi, bypassed the ps radiator cooler, installed a magnifine replaceable filter with magnet, and installed a derale dual cooler with fan which acts as a trans and power steering cooler with a fan wired up to one of my 30a upfitter. I used all push lock an fittings. 3f41e8bbd56818e9a66bec45a4cc28a8.jpg

my over flow is no longer leaking. I think the key is to bypass the stock cooler in the radiator. I think it gets clogged up and keeps debris from previously blown pumps and let's them go at the most inopportune time.

I also made a back up camera mount for the guys in the no tailgate club. fbe75d4cb3e1eb1102f51781adb15da2.jpg

I have an aux trans cooler hooked up to a push fan right where it looks like your PS cooler is. Can you post links or a direction of where you got all of your parts from?

So this splits the two coolers into one? It acts a both a trans cooler and a PS cooler? Sorry for the stupidity on my end, just never seen something like that.

Yes it has a 3 row cooler for the trans system, which I incorporated into the stock cooler and a 2 row cooler for the ps system. I bypassed the stock ps cooling system. Just to note the trans will not allow fluid to flow through the cooler till 295 degrees I believe.

I got to test my new setup today and I really put it through hell!! I jumped it many many times did a lot of doughnuts. I had no failures but it did leak out of the over flow just a little. But it was very little and I pushed it very hard!
