Question|RPM Startup Limiter

I just got a new Catback from magnaflow, it sounds and looks incredible. The only thing is, the wife doesn't. I own my own business so i leave at about 6:30, 7 everyday and she hears it loud and clear. The problem is, is that when you initially start it, the truck revs to about 2800 rpm to initially crank and that's why she can hear it. Is there any mod that could limit that? It sounds stupid but the wife gets cranky early in the morning, you know how it is.

Tell her that's the sound of V8 power! I mean what does she want you to do? Go buy a Jen2 with it's feeble sounding six cylidners of fury?

She should be up cooking breakfast or something anyways... WooWooooo!

I hope you mean 1,800 rpms, stock startup rpms is 1,500 to 1,800.

My understanding is that the 2011 - 2014 does have a soft start option in the 4.2" cluster screen.

I have 2010 1/2 so there isn't an option for that, but my Whipple Tuner adjusted mine to 1,200 to 1,500.
I have to get back to him I'd like it a little lower myself, I start 5am usually.
My neighbors do complain from time to time and I'm stock exhaust.

The new Mustangs are even louder at startup almost Harley loud if it's in front of the house.

I think it's called "Quiet Start" ? I have it on my 2012 in the dash menu.
