Need a cover for AFE Stage II Cold air intake???

Hello everyone,
Recently installed an AFE CAI, and was just wondering what everyone's take is on installing a cover on it. I have a hard time beleiving that no water will get at it from rain or washing the truck considering that the top of the air box is wide open and relatively close to where the hood meets the fender. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I put a cover on mine. Heard a lot of guys getting mud and water in the intake in wet conditions.

If the filter gets saturated then you're pretty much hosed.
