Going to pick up my 2013 raptor, loaded with all options, this weekend. I had the dealer put in the modified intake, exhausat, and wheels. I thought they would install the whipple charger but they say it will void warranty. I really want the extra horses and don't know if I should. Looking for experience with the charger and wondering how hard the charger is on the engine? Suggestions?

Do it but have the extra cash to back it up if something does go wrong. Worst case scenario you'll drop another 10k on a stroker if it goes. Just be kind to the pedal for the first 3k and you should be good. Oh and spring for the whipple and upgraded core and heat exchanger. You'll be all good and love the results.

the Whipple won't "void" your warranty. If your heated seat breaks, for example, they will still cover it under your 3/36. but if you grenade your transmission don't expect a payout on your powertrain warranty. if the failure(s) can be blamed on a non-factory modification then they will likely deny the warranty claim.

Yes, this topic has been talked about in numerous threads. The dealer must show that your mod directly caused or could have been related to the failure.

I just curious as to why one would want to blow their 6k lbs truck? ...I get it is your and each to their own.

If your first question is if adding something to the truck will void your warranty, might lead you to reconsider. Just my humble opinion...

Fred, I've been blessed with a great dealer, they have installed every mod that I did to my truck. From springs to bump stops, UMP intake to bumpers. I bent a knuckle ( pure inexperience) knocked the LCA's out of alignment and they covered that including wheel alignment under warranty.
Again, having a good dealer goes a long way.

Is the SC going on before the HITH?

I agree, finding the right dealer is a great benefit. I have bought numerous trucks from one down here in Richmond. they have been good to me as well...

If the OP can find a dealer that will work with him and he wants to create a relationship with, to do the install...I think warranty issues should be a non starter. IMO...

Not too sure on your comment " not that I care!" Perhaps you can expound.

Just what I said...why would you care about a warranty if you are going to put on a SC on in the first place... Seems logical.

Never too certain with some people? I saw a post today of someone whining that they put on a CAI and now get 15.1 MPG but prior to install they got 15.9 mph. Lol. #ballinonbubget!
