Some of my friends here may know that I added a Whipple Supercharger to my truck in October of 2013. I was somewhat satisfied with the added power but not thrilled, at that time I was building about 9 LBS of boost.

The tune that came from Whipple was not suitable to my needs, it had surging issues, shift issues and the list goes on.
I was able to contact a tuner in my area (Jon Lund) from Lund Racing and took the truck to him for retuning. After 3 pulls he was able to increase my torque 170 FtLbs at 3350 rpm, fix the surging and overall the truck ran strong.
I ended up with 530 FtLbs of TQ at 3350 rpm and 429 RWHP; keep in mind that I have 37” tires.
My main gripe was the sudden drop of power after 3350 RPM.

So........like all idiots I wanted more! Nothing exceeds like excess right??
Knowing that the engine was at the upper limits, and any more boost could result in internal failures, I made a decision to have my engine built.
On December 6th 2013 the engine was pulled from my raptor and delivered to L&M Motors in Hatboro Pa.

Lesson number 1; Be satisfied with what you have.
Lesson number 2.Make sure parts are available before you remove and dismantle a perfectly fine engine.

So, back to lesson number 2!
NOBODY has parts for the 6.2, now I am certain that some of you will say “Livernois has this” and “ Livernois has that”, again, NOBODY has parts for the 6.2.

Here is where I am today, 3 months and 8 days later.
L&M made molds and designed my pistons, the molds, specs and CAD’S were sent to Diamond Racing Pistons and a one off set of Pistons were made for me.
They are .30 over, Ceramic dome, Teflon Skirt with ARP Rings, and .220 wall wrist pins.
The Cams are custom as well, 232-234, the intake lift is 594 and the exhaust lift is 568.

Very nice, but I'd hate to pick up that bill. Is there a reason one of the bearing caps doesn't have both studs/bolts in the 7th from last picture?
