Alternators

It looks as if mine is going. Got battery up to 13.7 then ran and watched as it dropped to 12.8, idiot light on dash shows battery

4 years old 20k miles but a good amount of accessories

So, back to oem replacement or does anyone have any advice on good aftermarket alternators?

Wonder if you can get one that is for the F-250/350, those I believe are 220amps, compared to the stock 155amp.
I know that when ordering one of those trucks, you can upgrade to the HD alternators.

Here is an aftermarket one rated at 270amp

11429-270 Amp XP High Output Alternator for Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, Mustang

And you can get it in different colors...

I looked to see if the f350 was bigger, but ours are already the same at 200 amps.

I will look into this, but on threads Noah doesn't seem that impressed with aftermarket stuff

I thought ours was 155amps. That aftermarket one can have a 5yr warranty
