Today we are installing a Roush Phase 2 TVS 2300 Supercharger kit on our customer Rob's Raptor! He recently had installed a custom tuned SCT programmer and AFE air intake but wasn't satisfied. He figured with it being the holiday season and all to buy his Truck a gift! He went with the 650 HP power package we offer which includes the Roush TVS Phase 2 kit, a JDM custom tune, and NGK Iridium 6510 Spark plugs. We should have the Truck up and running by the end of the day but it will be in the shop until early next week as we are also installing a set of Vortex Mud Flaps and a slew of Rigid Industries LED's! After the parts are installed the truck will be tuned on the dyno and fully dialed in on the street. We usually net just over 500 RWHP with this power package so stay tuned as we get this beast dialed in!

Note: the 2014 Roush Raptor Supercharger now comes with the upgrade FEAD belt shield and updated idler. This helps to prevent belts from jumping off during hard shirts.

Also when installing Spark plugs in your Supercharged Raptor I highly recommend tightening up the gap to approximately .028"-.032" to prevent spark blow out.

What's the damage for the blower and the install. The price difference between 590 and 650 is only spark plugs. I have stainless works headers and exhaust already does that help the power also. How about head studs is there a need have you seen any stretching.

What setup would you do if you wanted to do a lot of off-road events and wanted to be very conservative with power but wanted to make sure you never got it hot or ever had any heat soak issues. Could you do a lower boost setting with the bigger heat exchangers or are there any tricks up your sleeve. Im interested but worried about making to much power for aggressive off-roading.

The difference between the 590 and 650 is the Spark plugs and our JDM Custom tune! That makes the difference, Roush's factory tune is very Blahh. It has just the bare minimum changes to account for adding a Supercharger. With our JDM Custom tune the throttle response, shifting, and Power are enhanced. We also adjust the fuel curve to be more efficient. Roush over fuels the engine in an over-protective manor. That being said we often see Roush 590 HP kits dyno around 440-460 RWHP and with our 650 Kit they are usually 490-510 RWHP. Roush's 590 Rated HP number might be a little high, but we advertise our kit to be a 60 HP improvement over theirs and that's what it offers!

650 hp just seems like so much power to put through the stock engine

We actually have customers running over 700 HP to the engine and roughly 550-590 RWHP for several years now! The stock drivetrain is very Stout. The only concern when approaching these power numbers is fuel quality and good tuning!

Your a Jersey guy too, come by the shop and check one out sometime! We average about 1 Raptor per week for Supercharger installs!

Installation is complete! Took 2 full days on the Supercharger install and about 1 full day to complete the lights and mud gaurds. 3 Full days worth of fun! We hope to have the truck tuned today or tomorrow at the latest. I will report back with dyno graphs and a video when its all finished!
