Okay guys, I've been hinting around the idea for quite some time now. After searching for a long time, I have been unsuccessful in finding a perfect flush mounted led module to install into the console lid. Well, I did some research and built one.
The module has 4 pre-wired SMD LED chips in it and has a flush mount bezel. The back is 2 pieces of acrylic. One clear and one black to give the bezel a blacked out look but also have a lens. These are very very bright and I will offer them in many different colors. These will be offered either as a kit or I will install it here at the shop for you.
I am still working on the switch system and currently have a set of momentary normally closed switches that I am trying to mount into the console lid.
I've been working on these between drying times of upholstery glue or paint for the build plates.
These LED modules will be ready very soon after a bit more R&D. To flush mount them, they will require you to make a small cut approximately 4" x .5" in the plastic bottom of the console and then a .25" hole with a snap in seal.
Pricing will be calculated after all design elements have been achieved. I look forward to providing everyone with these!
