Late pile-on to original post, yeah I had a similar juke pulled on me by Sunrise Ford in LA.

They shook my hand on a decent price on a Saturday (MSRP +$8k, about as good as it gets), signed all the paperwork, made a $1k down payment on my credit card (seemed smart, and it was), etc. It was located at a dealer in Vegas, they'd get it to me by the following Wednesday. Lo and behold, I get a text that Tuesday from the salesman saying that the truck was gone. He offered me plenty of substitutes, but I had enough and asked for my credit card to be refunded. A month passed and I had not gotten the down payment back. Called the dealer, got the runaround, so I sicced MasterCard on them.

The dealer took my money and sold me a truck without once speaking to the Vegas dealer holding the truck. I actually found which dealer it was (Friendly), and they told me that Sunrise tried to swap them one of their SCrews for the SCab I wanted. Put a real bad taste in my mouth.

Friendly was the only dealer that I somewhat trusted when I was there. Bought my 2000 Ford Focus from them. Still going strong and just a hair shy of 200,000 miles! Never had a good feeling for the other dealers that existed in the late 90s, early 2000s.

I remember when my dad ordered our 68 Bronco from Sill-Terhar Ford (Motors now I guess) in CO and when it arrived they didn't let me dad know. They liked it so much that they had it on the showroom floor showing it off. Needless to say, once my dad found out, it was prepped and in his hands pronto.

So glad I have a great, small town dealer.

I bought from a GREAT small town dealer. It was worth the 300 mile drive. If I get a Gen 2 it will be from them.

Hi everyone,

Don't forget that I can document feedback (positive or negative) about any Ford Dealership. All I need from you is a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, dealer info, and any specifics you'd like me to include. I'll do the rest. :)

Dealerships can be a huge pain to work with sometime. I actually work at one, Broadway Ford it's in Idaho Falls, but we will definitely NOT screw you. Especially with a Raptor, let's make it as easy as possible and get people out enjoying the dang truck! No need to screw around! The Raptor is such a high-demand item there is no need to waste any time! No need to try and make a quick buck out of it or lie about it. People pay for Raptors because they are the best trucks on the market and always will be.

We have a Raptor for Sale as well if anyone is looking for one! You can work with me, and I will make it as seamless and painless as possible. Ours is a 2014 with 21k mileage with the Whipple Supercharger Kit. Man that thing is a beast. It makes a huge difference! You can text me if you are interested at all in it. We stray away from being shady and specialize in transparency and speed. Text or call me at 208-201-8234 if you guys are interested in it! Asking 54,995 but of course, negotiable.

Probably sold it because they had someone willing to pay some ridiculous markup.
