Ok, well I'm trying to figure out how to wire things here... A couple of things I'm thinking about are A) Wiring the compressor lead to one of the toggle switches, and B) Wiring the air horn into the truck horn with a switch that can turn the system on and off (so I can just hit my truck horn w/o the air horn when I want, or hit the steering wheel horn and have the air horns go off).

Another thing I have thought about is whether I can use my air horn with my alarm, ie, when the truck horn goes off with the stock alarm it will also activate my air horn. Not sure if the alarm horn is a different relay than the steering wheel activation relay? In this case, would I just need to wire the air horn on/off to a lead that does not turn off with the ignition and leave it on when I leave the truck?

Keep in mind that I am not going to be wiring this myself and am not good or knowledgeable with these things, only want to find out so I know what options are available when I get this installed and can pass the info on to the installer. I have found that going into things like this with knowledge of how things are done is always the way to go.

I tried to do the same thing on my Toyota but decided not to hook it up to the stock horn. I decided I needed a soft horn sometimes also.

I've seen people hook them up but add a switch so they can turn the horn on/off from the stock steering wheel horn when they wanted.

seem's pointless, just put the button in a spot that's easily accessible. I'm still waiting for an air dump where I live it's needed. Or what kind of conditioner is everyone using.

Yes you can tie into the horn and put a switch inline so that only when the switch is flipped will the steering wheel horn activate the air horn.

Also you could tie it into the alarm, but you would not tie in the compressor so the air horn would only sound till the tank was empty. Reason being is the compressor with out the engine running can drain your battery.

It comes with a drain valve but you have to turn it to open it. You could replace it with a pull valve. I was tempted to do that but with its location I would think it would be easier to impact it. But you could throw a cable on the safety valve if all you want to do is dump the air pressure
