QTP Cutouts Now @ MarylandSpeed- Free Shipping!

Cutouts are one of the more popular items we sell. It is fun to have the aggressive open tone, and quiet closed sound.

As many of you already know, we have sold DMH for a long time. They make a great cutout, and we will continue to offer their product. That said, we lose a lot of sales because people do not want to wait 8 weeks for them. We have address this repeatedly with DMH, and it has not gotten better. Because of that, we needed an alternate product to offer for customers who cannot wait that long.

As such, we have now added QTP (Quicktime Performance) cutouts to our lineup. We have both low profile, and original cutouts. The low profiles are a really good fit for the Raptor. They have been on the market for a while now, and have a good reputation.

They are for sale at the link below. We recommend adding both the turndowns, and the wireless controller for the best experience. These cutouts weld fine on both 2.5" and 3" piping. If you have questions, feel free to call and ask.

Whats your experience with reliabilty of cutouts? I have heard the are awesome when they work but just don't hold up in the real world.

The issue with cutouts, is they all eventually fail. You are talking an electrically controlled valve that has to seal perfectly, that is exposed to all the elements, and welded on a hot pipe. People tend to localize their complaints when they fail and be like "I bought X brand, and it failed, and they suck. The reality is, all three brands we have sold have had failures. QTP has been one of the better brands for us so far with almost no complaints.

Isn't that with everything

Nothing lasts for ever
Even our build tough trucks fail sometimes

Some at 20.000 miles. Some at well over 100.000

I would say Grease up that thing
And try to keep water and dust out as long as humanly possible

Never saw anyone it like a bypass
Any one ever looked into it ??
And would it be better for durability
