As I mentioned in my first post, we recently introduced a new cap model called the Overland Series. We think this is a perfect fit for the Ford Raptor and our design is really unique in terms of what else is available out there. Here is a photo of the new cap. We will have more info and photos on our website soon, but we are taking orders now! Thanks, Andy LGHT5.jpg

Bullet liner is awesome stuff that's what I have my bed sprayed with and that stuff can handle anything and it's a lot thicker than line-X is too. Awesome top too

Hi DirtNasty,

That is good news to hear you might be interested in this cap! Typically we say our caps can hold between 120-150 lbs evenly distributed across the roof.

We do have some more info and features to release about the Overland Series. The standard features will include:

- Spray-On Protective Coating, increasing strength in high stress areas
- Half-Slider Side Windows
- Heavy-Duty Rear Door
- Painted to match your truck
- A.R.E.'s Limited Lifetime Warranty

We will be offering several optional roof racks, including the Yakima Tower Series and the Yakima Whispbar HD.

Thanks, Andy

Will it be insulated as well? If you are trying to target the overlanding crowd that would be a nice feature to have since they will prob end up sleeping back there on cold/hot nights.

Would also be cool if you guys had some strong storage options (for the cap, and the bed).

Regardless of all that stuff its a nice looking cap!

At this point in time we are not considering any additional insulation, other than the normal carpeted interior option. This finishes the inside of the cap, and can provide some insulation, but not much. Combined with a product we offer called the BedRug really makes a quiet and carpeted bed.

We do offer several storage options and are currently looking at more. We have items such as the BedSlide (BedSlide : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers) and PickupVault (Pickup Vault : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers) along with clothes rod holders and fishing rod holders which help truck owner utilize their beds more.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks, Andy

Yeah i have a bedrug as well, makes it much nicer to crawl in to the back of the cab. If you guys are serious about insulation i would say take a look at the newer aerogel mat/fabrics. They are extremely light and decently easy enough to work with as a material. In fact if i was to get another topper i would probably invest in lining with the stuff my self and upholstering it after.

For an idea on bulk/wholesale pricing (i am actually now thinking of ordering some up, so it can sit in the garage next to all my other stuff for the truck...)
