Freedom Motorsports is a sponsor at Shelbyfest this year and will be attending the event.

Shelbyfest Sponsors

I will be going with my GT500 and looking to see if we can tap into the Mustang market to further Freedom Motorsports business. My time on FRF will be very limited so if anyone sends me a PM or E-mail, I will try to respond later in the evening when I am back at the hotel room. Chris will also be monitoring my PM's and Email if anyone needs an urgent matter taken care of.

I thank everyone that has ordered through Freedom Motorsports, we truly appreciate the kind words and business.

Thanks,
Rick

I will post up some pictures of the event in this thread over the next few days.

Posting these pics from the first day from my RDFTS account since that is what I have setup on Tapatalk.

Met quite a few people including Kyle, the guy who started all of this. When I drove in on Wednesday night is was raining so we had to get cleaned up. Later that afternoon we had a cruise through some county roads and small towns. People were sitting outside there homes or gathered to see all the mustang/shelby's drive past. Some of the towns had police officers stopping traffic so we could stay together, pretty awesome.

See the Freedom Motorsports banner?

Did the autocross today, wow what a blast! I have never done autocross or anything like this ever. There was 51 cars running it and they timed our runs. Out of that 51, 5 of those cars were driven by professionals that were giving rides, which of course had the best times.

I improved on everyone of of my runs and ended up being number 16 out of those 46, not counting those professionals, lol.

We had a safety meeting and walked the track and then you were able to go as many times you wanted over a 6 hour period.

Oh Gary Patterson, the president of Shelby is here and I got to meet him and he took me for a lap. While waiting in line, had a great conversation and talked about Rogue and the Baja 700. Really nice guy.

Here is the video I took with him, sorry trying to hold onto my phone while he was sliding around. My best time was 30.55 seconds, his best was 28.1 but no idea what this video time was, pretty sure in the 28's. For not ever doing Autocross, thought my GT500 did pretty good, cause it wasn't me, lol

Got up early to get in as an early entry into the show. There was blocks and blocks of all kinds of mustangs.

The local Ford dealership had some vehicles there including a GEN2. I asked them the price and they said only $2.5k over sticker. Gave them some shit and their response was we are less over than others which my response why they were even over in the first place as other dealerships aren't over.
