I need to hear from some other Rack One owners. Do you have the gap by the cab? Mine is about 5 1/4". Tight against the tailgate. @DocSpooK looks like yours has a similar gap.
Why would there be a gap? Could it really have been measured wrong by over 5"

I need Jimmy @WSI to chime in and look at my pics and tell me first why holes didn't line up and then why there is that 5"+ gap.

Yes, mine has the gap. kinda irritating, but Jimmy said the sheets are ten feet long, so he cuts them in half to get two per sheet. problem is we have 5' 6" beds, per Jimmy, would be almost twice as expensive to make one a few inches longer. :/
I did suggest putting the gap at the tailgate though, we'll see what happens.

Aren't the wings that fill the areas behind the rear arches included in the base rack?

Anyone heard more about the sliding model yet? I presume if they can't keep up with orders for the standard rack it is probably a ways off.

Not with mine.

I think the sliding option is a no go due to cost. Talk to Jimmy but even the aluminum he was shying me away from let alone the slideout option

Yeah, the model with the wings is sold separately from the base model without. And its a good bit more expensive. Not saying that its not worth it, but the whole thing is giving me pause. Not sure I wanna jump anymore. Frustrating because I was really stoked about this initially.

Likewise, I wanted wings and sliding. Will probably go another direction now.

Thanks for the info,
K.

Eh, I wasn't big on the sliding. And I can see the wings being an additional expense; they require more metal and fab time, plus the extra tube and bends it requires. Totally understandable.

It's the QC issues that I'm seeing that make me nervous.
