Well,

Guess some "Right Stuff" gasket maker will be the FIRST thing I do to my new truck.

That's f*cked though...seriously...on a new truck...wow.

Am I going to regret buying this thing? LOL

I had the third brake light issue a few days ago, with the cruise control who went off suddenly on the highway under heavy rain, along with Advantrac and HDC service error...

Today I unmounted the light, and there was some water in there...After cleaning and drying, a good load of sealant will make the work I hope...But that's a shame there's not a proper seal on that light. Easy way for the water to get in...

Edit : forgot to say my Raptor is a 2013 with only 15 000 miles...

Are there Raptor owners in CA, AZ and NV having this problem? I guess climates without much rain are not experiencing this issue.

My Raptor came from UT but no issues yet and I regularly wash it. Time will tell I guess.

What I don't get is the problem is with some model years why don't all the trucks in that model year have the issue. I mean if the design is flawed, all the trucks with that design flaw should be leaking. Now given different climates and precipe and all I get some might not see it , but we all drive through rainstorms sometimes and most of us wash the truck with a spray hose....just find it weird some leak like a sive and do some don't.

I have also had my Satellite antenna leak as well. It was easy to tell as it leaked on my passenger floor mat dripping from the grab handle. This was on my 2009 F150 but its always on the back of my mind for my 2013. And yes I also had the third brake light leak as well on the 2009. You would think by now they would have fixed the problem. Currently I all ways check my Raptor after it rains.

My company has four F150s in its fleet. Our 2008 is an absolute tank and never had an issue. We have two 2010s and my 2013 (all XL models) and each had the high mounted stop light leak. Every so often I'd notice a moldy smell in my truck. Eventually I was sitting in the truck during a rainstorm and just happened to look in the back and noticed water pouring down the inside of my rear window close to the driver's side.

So far so good with my personal 2014 Raptor but who knows...seems like there's no rhyme or reason to which trucks leak and which don't. It took about 10 months for the issue to manifest in my work truck so maybe I'm lucky with my Raptor since I'm past that mark. Or maybe Ford corrected the issue between 2013 and 2014.
