Sounds like I need to listen carefully to some youtube vids of Corsa. I assume you deleted res and went with xtreme version? If I bought brand new, I would most likely install the way it was engineered...side tailpipes behind rear tire. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the input. Was the increase in sound level (dB) noticeable during idle, cold start, cruising?

Yeah, I agree...if I went Corsa I would keep it the way it was engineered...out the side. Time to look carefully at youtube vids of Corsa on Raptor. I assume you recommend going with xtreme and res delete? I do like the black tip option. Thanks again.

Ok my advise 1. try to find used 2. if buying new do not spend more money for the extreme version. Just have the exhaust shop weld in the xtension. And yes ditch the resonator.

Gotexhaust/freedom motorsports are awesome to deal with rick or Chris. Highly recommend

it was noticeable 100% everywhere. sounds like a different exhaust almost completely.
You can also wire in a microphone next to it and channel the sound through the speakers GEN2 style. Its still a factory restrictive boring exhaust no matter what you do to it. lol

Ok i know how you love my analogies....Its like turning a butter sandwich upside down thinking its gonna taste better.

Ha! Thanks for the feedback. Please let me know how the res works out. Since our drone range is the same while using a different muffler, maybe the drone is primarily from our config (turndown)? If so, I wonder if running the pipe over the axle and out the side would eliminate drone in our cases? Maybe someone can chime in using the same mufflers but different config.

Yeah that ain’t happening for me. I went to a turn down for the sole purpose because I was sick and tired of repeatedly ripping off my exhaust when it was exited out behind the wheel. I had the stock exhaust, took it off and put a Ford Racing (Borla) exhaust with it cut over the axle but the muffler kept getting hit and eventually after multiple weld jobs of fixing it, it went into the dumpster. There went over $1000 but that exhaust did sound really good and no drone whatsoever. I’ve seen guys with lightning style side exit before the wheel get ripped off too so I will never do that option.

So far the MBRP has been rock solid and tucked way out of the way up high when off-roading and I have been happy with my decision regardless if it turns down before the axle under the bed. The drone is not that bad and if it does, just speed up, not a big deal for me and if traffic causes me to stay at a slower speed and I cannot get around it, turn the music up.

News flash....You happened to buy an expensive truck. The majority of the owners do fall in a different category when it comes to the disposable income. And yes when you own one you tend to do different mods and they are not cheap. Its an addiction. lol And yes I love my truck and yes I have a few bucks into it, and yes its over insured and yes I would not cut a corner when it comes to changing and modifying. Buy once not twice....
Turning a factory exhaust upside down and saying it sounds better because its resonating of the pavement is an advise I would not be sharing here.
The OP has already an aftermarket exhaust and asking for an advise for an alternative solution regarding AFTERMARKET solution that in your world is a rip off, because it costs more....
And here I am not bragging about my stuff, there are guys here with a whole lot more and faster and better....that's not the point. I simply pointed out that I did spent the money and did buy Corsa because of the simple fact I had it on my 02 GTS Viper that I have owned for 6 years and yes I paid CASH for it and I sold it this summer and I regret selling it.

i mean your response couldnt have been any more money driven lol.
why would i not tell of my experience? what do you think an expensive exhaust with a dump is doing lol?

its not changing back into the $ you wont get back and funneling back into your pocket. its bouncing exhaust tone off the ground and back at the cabin just like mine is doing.

different strokes for different folks for sure, but you have seem to taken a nut swinging approach with me, and i love it

you are the one that approached me man, not the other way around.
if we cannot simply discuss the mods we do then im honestly not sure why you are here? how would everyone know you spent so much money on your raptor?

im not saying expensive exhausts arent worth it, never did, never said you wont gain power either, never said anything against anyone doing what they want.

i simply said what i did and the results i had and that was apparently enough to trigger you. :ROFLJest:

Thanks for all of the input. B/c I like the tone of my current BW race muffler and b/c my local muffler shop suggests it will noticeably help, I think I'm going to invest a bit more in what I already have by running the pipe over my rear axle and pointing outward near stock position, but hidden tip. He stated this should help a lot. After that, worst case, I swap out mufflers or go with a complete cat-back like the Corsa. Thanks again and I'll update once the verdict is in.

^^^^^this. had my mbrp turndown for 4 years or so. love it. thought it was drony at first but it either improved or i got used to it. either way ive been please with my choice. have taken several lengthy road trips in that span of time and im still sane.
