Interesting, I just got the MBRP turndown with no resonator but have yet to take it out on a highway run. Oh well

Have had this on for over a month. Love it! Can't keep the foot out of the pedal to hear the roar. Haven't really had any drone that was unbearable to me but that might be because I travel on the highway at around 85-90mph now so staying out of whatever the drone range might be. Plus having Tow/Haul enabled helps keep the RPM's up. And yeah, MPG is around 8-9 now but don't give a damn. Did I say I love it?

Thank you for this review! When on the highway I'm cruising at 80+ and always in Tow/Haul mode, so if the drone people are experiencing is below 2k RPM's, I'm not worried about it. :flipthebird:

I'm looking for a simple, loud exhaust solution and the MBRP seems to fit the bill.

Youtube vids confirm this is not fake news.

Made me jump to the MBPR website to place an order. Which one is it? There are a few to choose from for our trucks.

Guys, I can order these for you. @Rick@FreedomMotorsports

Problem is the demand on these for the GEN1 has died down and they are being made to order and have a lead time

Thanks Rick - but in my haste, (and my wife's absence :emotions36: ), and considering the low price... I just bought this:

Flowmaster Outlaw Extreme 817707:

T528447D?$enlarged810x608$.jpg

It's the same price as the MBRP, but it's made of 409 stainless steel coated black, rather than aluminized steel.

I got it for $287 out the door (free shipping) from americanmuscle.com

I can get those too. Would have to see what shipping would be but thinking I could do $277 pretty easy. With that Flowmaster one though, it looks like it connects to your stock resonator or you would have to replace that on your own with a straight pipe, doesn't actually connect to the factory cat-back. The MBRP does and includes bolts that fit through the factory slots. They have the version with and without a resonator and in different grades of steel. Mine is without the resonator. I did a video tonight on my drive home and its currently uploading to YouTube. As soon as it finishes I will post it up. It is a little in town with the windows down and then highway and then rolling the windows up cruising at various speeds between 70-100+.

Blurry because the iPhone was focused on the GPS mount. Radar seeing Ka, cop somewhere near so sorry for the beeping.

What model MBRP to order tho? Their website had many listed for our trucks.

I have on mine, part S5242409 (in the RDFTS video). Part S5243409 is the one with the resonator. Not found anymore on MBRP site.

S5242409 - I have 2 in stock - $350 shipped CONUS
S5243409 - I have 4 in stock - $439 shipped CONUS

I have a 5.4 L 2010, no resonator from the factory. You simply cut at the specified location on the slip fitting and slip the new exhaust on w/ a clamp. :Rock on:
