SW Exhaust / Factory Exhaust

I installed my 3" SW Catback exhaust. As you all probably know it's fairly strait forward install from the factory connect. I noticed there is a factory resonator (I think that's what that is) right after the connection at the headers to exhaust. Has anyone had that resonator removed and a 3" diameter pipe welded in and just have a strait shot to the SW exhausts?

Yes. Much louder but more drone

Very common to remove the factory resonator. Some like the sound they achieve with the factory system just by removing it.
