So I had a Magnaflow muffler welded in with lightening style exit. It is 3" in, 3" out with tip that is 3" in, dual 4" out. Under hard acceleration around 3000 rpm it has this really loud but low pitched whistle. It doesn't sound like a leak, but more like the pipe is whistling. Any ideas??

It's probably where the exhaust tips split that is causing the whistle. I had that same thing happen to me with another exhaust that I had. No cure for the tips I had other than trying another set that ended up not whistling. I was told it was all in the R&D of the tips and that I had to spend a little more money to get rid of it. It worked, though.....

That's what I was afraid of. I got the tip from redtail performance.com and it wasn't cheap. Maybe they will make it right.
