Same as any exhaust mod, they would have to prove that the mod caused the problem to not warranty it. That said, I would imagine its much easier to blame a cut out for a engine problem then a aftermarket muffler.

You also lose performance with a cut out and, IMO, they sound like a POS old truck whose muffler rusted off. On the positive side you will always win a rev-off at a stop light :jester:

Okay well I ordered and can always return it... Its so hard shooting in the dark with these things. I've heard every YouTube video out there... I just don't want a constant drone if I'm driving a long way. It would only be for ***** and giggles...

if you're driving a long way, you close it. Can't do that with headers and a magnaflo!!!

I have a Flowmaster 40 and a cut out. The open cut-out has less cabin drone than the Flowmaster and sounds better. If i had to do it over again, i would keep the stock muffler and add only the electric cut-out.

You don't have drone!!! I have one and its awesome. Got a DMH 3" oval that attaches to the side of the exhaust. No way it can void your warranty due to it doesn't mess with the O2 sensors. Or atleast I put mine after all the cats. Put it right between the the muffler and the 2 bolt flange on the 2 ft pipe section.

Sorry my GF didn't know she had to hold it down to open and close it for 3seconds.

Like Ducati said it just sounds hell and hurts performance, especially low end power. As far as warranty, should be no problem unless it becomes too lean from lack of some back pressure and you burn it down.

Okay well I think I'm just going to install it. I just got it in the mail. Maybe I can sneak over there today
.
ISFast does your cutout have a switch where you have to hold it to open and close? Or is it either open and closed.... ? I'm wondering if i could wire straight into one of the AUX .
