Besides our ears ringing, my girlfriend and I were all fine. Up to that point, I didn't even know I had side air bags. Ya with @m3dragon using me as a post card and then this, im going to hire an agent :winner_third_h4h:

Well that sucks. Honestly it really didn't look that bad. How was it in the cab when you landed? Did you have off-road mode on cause I would of thought with that engaged, that jump wouldn't have deployed the airbags.

It was fine, seat belts locked up, side air bags went off and I was in ORM

So after reading a little more I see that it must have sensed a possible rollover and deployed the bags. Does make you think a little more about off-camber
landings or even as some have experienced, just off camber period in the dunes.

Found this video on the same website. Watch out when jumping off little ramps. They will **** you up. I know.

If you watch the video, the side airbag doesn't deploy until the passenger side hits so I don't think it trigger due to a possible rollover, seems more the hit did it. I've been as close as you can get to rolling over without actually rolling ( @cpetes ) and airbags never deployed.

It seemed the passenger had their arm out the window hanging onto the top of the door when the airbag blew, was her arm hurt when that happened? @raulsterXDozer

The initial hard hit on the left side doesn't do it but as soon as the right side hits they do go off. So after watching it a few more times, it does seem like the initial left hand landing is not as hard as when it comes back on its right side. I guess that's why it withstood the initial fairly hard left side landing but not once it lurched hard right.

I did see though that some have got the airbags to go off in the off camber dunes without catching air.
