Been having issues with the truck everytime in get it back from the dealer. Recently the Bluetooth would always disconnect my phone to which I thought was my phone due to a software update. Today I take my truck for an oil change but it wouldn't connect to my phone at all, tried going to the media but said "system error - see dealer". Decided to check the sync fuse and it was fine, still decided to replace it, nothing. Tried doing a master reset but it won't do anything when I press on the "phone" button. Went as far as doing it by voice command, I say 'phone' and it says something that the system is not installed. Even connected my phone to the USB and nothing, not even charging the phone. I currently have the truck battery disconnected hoping that would do it but I'm doubtful.
Anyone have any input aside from taking it to the dealer? A fuse I'm over looking or something?

I went through a period a couple of months ago where SYNC and my phone would not pair unless I cycled Bluetooth off and on on my phone. Then one day it healed itself, probably an update to my phone. I would say your probably going to need the dealer but maybe try reloading the SYNC update.

How do I reload the sync update? I called ford tech support and they just said to disconnect the battery, apparently that solves everything for them.

Hi The258,

If your SYNC menu is unavailable through the Phone button, you cannot perform any resets or updates. The Ford service center is your best resource in this case.

Sync started working on its own. Very happy that I can listen to my music on my phone. Still might need to take it in to get it checked out.

Very weird. Im glad it's functioning again, I only listen to the music stored in my phone. No radio, no cds. I was real close on buying a am/fm Bluetooth receiver lol
