does anyone using the kicker sub stage wish they had a bass level remote for the sub?

Yes. I've actually contemplated on figuring out a way to wire one in because some of my music either has the lows completely removed or proper sound production.

I also think when you lower the bass level in the head unit, it drops the bass from speakers as well. At least, what little bass emanates from those speakers.

Just ordered the Kicker crew cab sub replacement on Ebay, factory refurb with full warranty for $499 shipped. Going to see how that sounds as the lack of any appreciable low end is annoying at best.

So got the Kicker upgrade installed over the weekend. Install was a breeze, especially if you follow the instructions in the thread a bit down from this one and use the factory subwoofer wires to splice rather than the front speakers. The only real snag I hit was feeding the power wire through the firewall grommet as the rubber is THICK and tends to snag the wire. Other than that I was done in less than an hour...in 93 degree heat. Bass is now what is should be and can be extremely thumpy if that is your preference. turned my bass down to +1 and still have Beastie Boys tracks that shake me. Great upgrade!

Anybody have a link to the kicker system. Lowest cost I found on Ebay is $695

I found a complete kicker soundstage kit on eBay for $450 a few months ago. It was the subwoofer and the four door speakers.

Try getting in contact with Beau Rogel with Rogel Ford. He was selling them for like $350 a few years back(They were all sold out when I checked last year).

BTW, this was for a Gen 1 SCAB.

Also, check on Amazon. I saw the same kit for $375 after I ordered and received mine.

Those prices are no longer around I don't guess. I can't find anything under a grand. Unless I'm searching for the wrong thing.

I installed the JLAudio stealth box subwoofer last weekend and absolutely love it. The bass is phenomenal. This is my third vehicle with a stealthbox and I've never had a problem. Paid $850 for the Stealthbox and another $700 for amp, line-out, wiring and installation. $1550 total and I finally have the sound I was looking for. I should have done this years ago.

I thought about the kicker sub upgrade but then just added and after market amp and sub for $400. I now have way more bass then i will ever need on tap. I have a bass volume knob to raise the volume of bass if needed . I have a 10" under the seat for when I have 4 passengers and an 8" sundown audio sub that sits directly behind the center console. It sits between the rear seat and console.

Dying for a sound upgrade. If I don't sell the truck it's at the top of the list.
