Hey everyone, its been a long time since I've been on the boards. But, I have had the itch to start modding my Raptor so I figured Id check back in. I love this online community.

I wanted to see if anyone here that has a factory nav equipped raptor would be interested in swapping it out with an iPad....my goal is to be able to have all the features of a wifi equipped iPad while still retaining all the factory nav screen features and layout. Im thinking possibly of creating an app to toggle between the two interfaces. Then just simply hardwiring the iPad and mounting it in the vehicle. The iPad would basically just be a touch screen display for all the factory stuff and then you could back out of the app to the regular iPad interface.

Anyone be interested in me documenting all this if I pull it off?

I did a few threads in the past that lots of people referenced to and if everyone is interested I would be more then happy to do it again.

Lemme know your thoughts!.....or problems with doing this lol

If you can successfully make one with onscreen heated/cooled seat buttons, working google nav, and provide a good line out solution for the audio you might have a few people interested.... Good luck with that! :)

Even if you can pull off an app that can control all of the systems, your bigger challenge will be weather. Ever tried to use an iPad or iPhone that was left in the truck on a summers day? Sucker wont even power up.
