I'm going to install the "ICOM F5021 VHF Mobile Radio" and I wanted to know if there is a way to hook up the speaker to the trucks center channel speaker?

If it has a 3.5mm out you can plug in a 3.5mm cable and splice it into the factory center speaker.

I did this and I'm not impressed. It's not very loud.

Is it because of the icom? I have a tyt and it's plenty loud. I think I could blow the speaker if I turned it up all the way.

Still working out what to do with mine as I want to mount the base out of the way and would still like to be able to use the radio. I don't have a center speaker and my viper GPS module is mounted underneath where it would be so I would rather not install the parts to add one.
