Which unit is that?

You can take a cobra 25 or 29 and get 25 plus watts, it will get you talking further. Or you could add a linear box, 100, 250, watt and have some real power but you have to have someone to receive. Some guys can talk 10 to 15 miles on cb. But it will cost. For on road more still use CB

A lot of the yaesu radios have remote face plates now.
