Looking great guys!

Do you lose the steering wheel buttons when going to an aftermarket NAV/radio system?

You will if you don't use an iDataLink Maestro RR unit. It allows you to maintain all factory functionality but you will lose your front camera until you replace it with an analog one with a RCA connection. I ended up getting an aftermarket backup camera but two others in this thread got their oem ones to work.

Yes if you either plug it into the odb2 port or wire it in. I just plugged it in.
Did the iData link also provide the data does the gauges and tire pressure?

Hi Folks,

I used your information to order items for my 2012 King Ranch... I ran into a tiny bit of an issue...

I purchased a Kenwood Excelon DMX905S Head Unit
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BSZNKC2/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

and attempted to use the Best Kits 540 kit
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016ADO5XS/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

Unfortunately, even after cutting the plastic bar out of my dash, I'm still about 1/4" too low??

Because the factory Nav is mounted so high, the factory U Nuts don't line up and offer me a way to secure the HU...

I've been searching and searching and can't seem to find a solution. Here are some photos for reference.. I'd appreciate someone point me and say "hey stupid, that's what you missed"

Thanks :p

I had to drill new holes in my mount kit. I ended up using some generic one from Walmart because it ended up having more meat on it to play with.

Thanks Ol'Crank.

That was another thought, to drill new holes. I still feel like the Hu has to be a tad higher to look proper in the opening

I guess tomorrow after work before the mosquito's are ravenous, I'll take another stab at it.

It was very much a heavy trial and error thing for me. I gave up a few times before I finally got it to a point I was okay with it. My gap is still a little large on the top but it's unnoticeable for the most part so I left it before I started ripping my hair out.

Ol'Crank, Did you ever get your reverse camera to work?

I finally have the HU in, reverse is the ONLY thing that doesnt work. It triggers properly but I get nothing viewed on screen

I didn't. I just bought one of the ones that bolts on to your license plate. I plan on trying again when I get a new front camera.
