100 series remote start kit

i bought this kit to install on my 2012 800a. I was planning on installing myself, but I've read that the stealership needs to 'enable' the remote start module with IDS.. I dont suppose there's an easier way? The 2 dealers I called yesterday had no clue, or didnt want to touch it.

I don't know how many different kit's there is but this works in 2010-2014. My package came with all instructions how to program it.
