California City

California City, or Cal City, is located about 100 miles from Los Angeles. It's a year round destination for off road enthusiast of all types. Motorcycles are welcome year round (green or red stickered), some rock crawling, and miles of trails for prerunners and utv's. There is also plenty of open camping available. The Cal City area is adjacent to several other riding areas, historic mines, and ghost towns. Here are a few pics of the area.

Cool pics, looks like a fun area. Is that a California OHV area? Or is it owned by some other entity? Just curious.

Most of the property is owned by the city. The city itself is the third largest in California by area, over 203,000 square miles of land.
Some of the out laying land is under the control of the BLM and other state agencies.

Thanks. Yes, that's my 6 year old daughter driving the Raptor. She's driven it almost 50 miles over the last year, she's pretty good at it!

There is not much in the way of shopping in cal city. Randsburg has some really nice and eclectic shops, most are open weekends only.

Spent many a day out there camping testing and racing AMSA. been on trails from there to Randsburg (white Horse) to Red rock Burrosmitts to Ridgecrest. Oh the memories....... I can smell pucker bushes already!!!!
