WSI, RPG and ICON present: The SnoBall 500

So maybe this was discussed already, but definitely check your credit and debit cards used up there, I had several fraud charges hit the last few days for a few thousand$

I haven't entirely ruled out the idea that Bethany flew to the east coast, blew up my cards at bloomingdales & starbucks, and flew home though...

I think the count is around 8 people who were hit. I'm leaning toward it being the first hotel/their gas station. the Island Resort and Casino/Island Oasis Gas.

Sitdown, how did your card not catch that much?? debit? Discover shut my card down right away. Person's charge didn't even get approved.

I filled up at the Oasis Friday night, paid at pump, no unauthorized charges at this point. If that is the common denominator let me know - I know the management at the Island and know they'd want to be all over this...

That's what I'm leaning toward Mandy since I only had three charges on that card for the run.
However, I suppose if we are talking hacked systems then Joe's charges could come into play from the pre-run.. I don't know enough about that stuff.

Just everyone please watch their accounts. Whomever did this sold all the numbers and the charges are coming from all over. Some seem to be smart enough to start with small amounts and others are trying to spend $500 at a Walgreens at 3am... Others may be waiting to start charging

Is there a certain day/time in common for those affected? My thought is perhaps it can be tracked back to a certain employee.

I've had the worst luck when making hotel reservations for conferences. I need to call to get the group rate and then you're forced to verbally relay your credit card number to an employee. I've had 2 cards stolen after making hotel reservations like that. Heck, my card was stolen before Christmas but it was never on file at the Island - only Travelodge and Lac Vieux Desert.

CC, Nothing went through, but over 2k was attempted one place and Some small transactions prior. I guess their 3dig security numbers were off which caused the flag, who woulda thought that number finally did something!
