New for 2014 - Raptor Expeditions Club - Black Mountain Run - 4/13
For the past 3 years, Raptor Expeditions has built a reputation for providing unparalleled off-road experiences, covering multiple states and nearly 10,000 miles of guided adventures. Raptor Expeditions is excited to announce a new format, a format which relies on it's participants and their involvement more than ever. "Raptor Expeditions Club" is excited to announce it's new enrollment, which is designed to help the Raptor Expeditions team connect with Ford Raptor owners in a new way.
Anybody who has had the opportunity to participate in one of over a dozen sponsored runs over the past 3 years, has come to appreciate the level of detail and professionalism which goes into each and every run. Due to various circumstances outside of our control, we have decided to change the way in which we share the open desert with fellow owners in the future.
Some of the best relationships and adventures many of us have experienced through our hobbies over the years, have been built on the foundation of enthusiast clubs. Whether it be cars, trucks, motorcycles, or other group interests, these clubs are the basis for building great friendships, reliable partnerships, and sharing incredible adventures. The "Raptor Expeditions Club" will share many of these same foundations, with a few exciting twists and opportunities.
Forming a club allows Raptor Expeditions to ensure it's organization and participation are upheld to same high quality many of it's participants have come to expect, and in some ways "demand" over the years. Professionalism, reliability, preparation, and teamwork are what will set our group apart from all other organized Raptor groups around the country. Required membership for expedition participation allows us to pre-screen/qualify each truck and owner before setting out with the group. Ensuring proper prep, safety gear, equipment knowledge, and etiquette expectations are among our highest priorities. This ensures that each end every member on the trail is prepared, organized, capable, and drives safely within the group.
With this change, comes expectations from each member that previously may not have been discussed or required. Being that we are forming a club, this means we are all on the same team, and expected to help each other and complete each excursion as a team. We will not have professional mechanics on each run, although many of our organizers and participants consider ourselves as such. We will not have chase trucks and trailers full of spare parts and mechanical equipment... this relies on each of us to ensure we are truly prepped and proper outfitted for these runs, carrying proper tools and commonly broken spare parts.
The "Raptor Expeditions Club" (aka REC) will offer many of it's previously tested and pre-run adventures for club use. After all, these are public lands with public access and endless possibilities. We have many adventures mapped out from our previous 3 years of experience, and will be happy to share with all club members when participating on an expedition. With many of our organizers and members also being fluent with logistics and equipment use, this also ensures that all expedition participants are properly trained and oriented on the use of their navigation equipment. Many of our club members and organizers will also be happy to share valuable knowledge and tips from the thousands of off-road miles each of us have acquired... helping newcomers feel welcomed and safe when driving their Ford Raptors off road.
In the end, our goal is to offer unparalleled adventures, while building a very strong club and personal relationships... all while improving the skills of newcomers and experienced drivers alike, helping all club members understand the ins-and-outs of driving the Ford Raptor off road. Upon becoming a member, you will truly become part of a select team of owners who puts more priority on their time in the dirt, than on the highways.
New for 2014, we are not only offering club adventures in SoCal like years past, we will be holding events in NorCal as well, and "Baja Raptor Expedition" events in Mexico (details: Next expedition ).

- Annual "Raptor Expeditions Club" membership term
- Custom "Raptor Expeditions Club" shirt for member (extra shirt for spouse/SO available at extra cost)
- Custom "Raptor Expeditions Club" decal for your truck
- Open participation to any REC event held throughout the year
- Lowrance GPS route files while on expeditions (to be provided by club organizers prior to expedition departure)
- Pre-Announcement priority for our Baja Raptor Expeditions events (limited spots available, club members notified before public)
SOUNDS EVEN BETTER, BUT WHAT DOES IT COST? $75/YEAR
Being that this is a club, we want to encourage as many qualified participants as possible to enroll. The cost for all items above and a yearly membership, will be only $75. These club dues will go towards your sign-up merchandise, and operations expenses of the club. With many locations being scouted and many hours of work spent by club organizers on these expeditions, these dues are minimal (less than a tank of gas).
We look forward to this new adventure, and encourage all Ford Raptor owners who are interested in joining us in these new club expeditions to apply immediately. As mentioned above, doing so will also ensure first priority in our Baja Raptor Expedition enrollment, and will be the ONLY way to stay informed on the other upcoming runs in this new format.
