Heading to Albuquerque, What is available for offroad?

We are leaving on Sunday for Albuquerque to spend 6 days with family. I was looking for some offroad opportunities for at least one day. What is available in the area?

There's a bit of sand to play in at 9 Mile Hill - I've never been, but might make for a good run:
