We are excited to announce the rerunning of the El Bandito 500! Dates will February 5th-9th, 2015. If you were unable to attend the inaugural El Bandito 500, this is your chance to join in on the epic adventure that is Baja. You’ll find all the detailed information you’ll need regarding the trip below. Raptor Expeditions

For the past 4 years, Raptor Expeditions has built a reputation for providing unparalleled off-road experiences, covering multiple states and nearly 10,000 miles of guided adventures. With full trail support, fully-marked courses, and professional mechanics, our staff ensures a safe, fun, and unforgettable off-road experience matched by no others.

Due to the overwhelming demand of our inaugural run, the “El Bandito 500”, we will be holding another event this coming February, covering a similar route in the upper Baja peninsula. For those that missed out on the chance to participate in our upcoming October run, this will give each of you another opportunity to experience what will be our biggest and best runs to date.

Covering 500 miles of the Baja desert, our group will experience trails driven by off-road legends such as Ivan Stewart, Malcolm Smith, Robby Gordon, BJ Baldwin, and many other racing champions. While our priority is ensuring a safe, relaxing, and fun run for all participants, both you and your Ford Raptor will be challenged on some of the toughest off-road terrain in the world.

The “El Bandito 500” run will begin Thursday afternoon, February 5, as we meet north of the Mexico border in Southern California. Our crew and participants will cross into Mexico as a group, and make our way to the starting point of the run in Ensenada Thursday evening. A driver’s meeting will be held Thursday night, ensuring all participants are aware of the run details, rules on the trail, safety concerns, and road conditions.

Friday morning our route takes the group south, along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, as we make our way towards our destination of San Quintin. We will depart San Quintin on Saturday morning, en route to the legendary “Mike’s Sky Ranch”, a destination for many off-road enthusiasts while in Mexico. Sunday will be our last and longest day on the trail, as we leave Mike’s Sky Ranch for San Felipe, using the same sections of trail used by the SCORE and NORRA series. After a long day on the trail, we will arrive at our hotel in San Felipe, overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
Monday morning, we will depart as a group for the paved drive back to the USA, crossing in Calexico where our adventure concludes.

What’s INCLUDED:
- Professionally designed course, including marked cautions, turn instructions, pre-run in advance shortly before the group run.

What is the cost?
This price for the run will be $2000 for vehicle, including one passenger. There will be a limited number of open spaces for this run, due to the nature of the location and support that needs to be provided. To provide the absolute best experience possible for each and every participant, the group size will be no larger than 25 trucks including our support vehicles. Spaces will be reserved on a first-come basis, upon receipt of refundable deposit or full payment. Our first run sold out in 3 days, so we recommend reserving as soon as possible if you would like to be guaranteed a spot! Payment must be received to guarantee you spot on this upcoming run.

Additional passengers can be added for a cost of $200 to cover food and clothing (room allocated for your vehicle must be shared with all your passengers, as some places simply do not have enough rooms to accommodate any more people). A portion of the proceeds from the run will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, in addition to supplies and items needed by local charities and hospitals in Mexico. Participants will be encouraged to bring items to donate while on the run in Mexico (details to be provided to participants).

Cancellation Policy:
Your deposit for participation in the run is fully refundable for the first 30 days after payment. You will be refunded 75% of your deposit up to December 1st, 2014. You will be refunded 50% of your deposit up to January 1st, 2015. There will be no refunds given after this date, due to the deposits we must place on our hotels, and the expenses of the promotional materials and pre-running.
Event participation is 100% transferrable without fees in the event you are unable to attend, and need to cancel, and do not wish to be penalized for the late cancellation. This arrangement would need to be worked out on a personal basis between yourself, and the participant taking your place. We can assist in finding a participant to take your place if we have a waiting list of participants, but ultimately the transfer of participation will be the responsibility of the owner if they cannot attend the event.
We are excited to bring the Raptor Expedition runs and it’s participants to new locations, and guarantee this will be the run of a lifetime for many participants. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun experience for all, helping each participant successfully complete the adventure, building new experience and creating new friendships. This is NOT a race, but an adrenaline-filled experience that will give each driver a taste of the Baja peninsula in the safest way possible.

As mentioned before, this run will be booked on a FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE basis. We will be fair and accept the most timely entries first.

Registeration: Raptor Expeditions

Thank You, we look forward to seeing you all on the trail!!!

Thank you everybody for the phone calls and emails. We are happy to announce the Rerunning of the El Bandito 500 is starting to sell out. Due to the logistics of moving a group of trucks through Mexico, we are only able to 15-20 trucks at a time.

Any questions feel free to contact us.

We are half way there with selling out the second El Diablo run. This will be the last time we run this route in 2015. We will be switching it up after this one. Day 1 of this route has some of the most amazing views of the Baja West Coast you will ever see. Don't miss out.

Go for it  This trip is a once in a lifetime kind of trip so don't let the opportunity pass you by!

Technically twice in a lifetime lol

Seriously though, it was an awesome experience. Every person involved with the whole trip was great. Truly glad I got to meet the people I did. If you have the chance to go, you should.
