Will have to be honest, being down here I am forgetting what day it is. Just seems like off-roading more and more and losing track of time.

After a long day on day two and deciding that Frog's canyon was too wet we headed to the place for for the night to get up and enjoy another day. We went though terrain I haven't seen before, then to the Pacific to drive down the beach. Had a scare that I lost oil pressure and one minor repair. We made across the entire width of Baja to end in Bay of LA.it ended up as a night run and the ranger had a short in the electrical and died. We ended up towing it quite a ways in the dirt to limp it back.

What caused the oil pressure drop on yours and where was the electrical short on the Ranger? Just curious.

Not sure on mine, it ended up not being an issue. I checked the oil then started it back up and hasn't been an issue since. I think it was the angle as I was going down a hill. The ranger shorted out because previously on the first day it rolled and found out that a positive cable was smashed against the fender.

If you were going downhill in a controlled decent using the brake at extremely slow speed, it could have just dropped rpm's enough to cause a low oil pressure situation. That is one of the things that the hill decent mode does is help to keep rpms where they need to be to maintain oil pressure and vacuum for the brakes in a steep decline.

After working on the ranger till nearly midnight they finally got most of the electrical issues resolved except for the aftermarket lights in front and a decision was made. I have to say, I fully respect @Dan06 for how gracefully he decided to cut his baja trip short and head home as he felt the ranger would slow us down and constantly breakdown due to all the abuse we were putting our trucks through. This meant just myself and @Sano Dano would try to finish the trek to Cabo.

Early the morning, we said our goodbyes and we headed south while Dan headed north. Just the two of us to continue in the middle of the desert, wow.

We had no issues on this day but covered a lot of terrain and had lunch on the beach. Think I was being a little conservative on driving since there was only two. Have to say there is some reason tight trails with lots of desert brush. Unavoidable at 60mph+. Bent my rear light and also hit a branch so hard it bent my stubby.

Had a small recovery

Made it to the town for the night and got some ice cream in the city market. Stuck a TRR sticker above the doorway.

Nice work, you guys are warriors for sure. This trip is not for the average joe.

How did you extract from that hi center on the dune? Seems like both trucks could be stuck and that would call for some dig-dug type shit.

Large cojones you both have,

Why didn't Dan take his Raptor?

Not my place to say but had some issues where some mod work was being done.
