Couple of weeks ago, was heading home to San Diego from Reno heading south on the 395.
Get to the town of Bridgeport and the highway is closed to Lee Vining due to a Hazmat spill.
According to the officer on the scene, our options were to wait 8-10 hours for the road to open or take a 3-4 detour to bypass the spill!
Screw That!!
Checked out the area on Google Earth and GPS and being that we were in a Raptor after all, we find a trail around the spill that takes us to the ghost town of Bodie and out to the highway at Lee Vining less then an hour later.
