Death Valley Trip Report - November 28th & 29th

Great day on the trail yesterday. Everyone worked together...couldn't ask for a better group to tackle Death Valley with. Mengel Pass was more difficult than past years but we managed to get through.

What an amazing trip! We had a mix of everything from rock crawling, whoops, high speed washes, rock gardens that could jar your fillings loose, and gorgeous scenery. We (Raptor Expeditions) really are lucky to have some great club members. Making new friends and offroading is pretty tough to beat!

In case you can't tell, the flusher is attached to the clutch lever.

I had an amazing time. Lol even the race was good from the spectators perspective. Optimistically the 4x4 will be up and going soon so I won't have to power over everything (Rogue's on it). Look forward to seeing you all again, the Toy Run is around the bend.

Brutal...I didn't throw up, but I can't say that for everyone. That thing is steep and just loose sand and 15 minutes is a tough time frame.

It's a challenge we do every DV run. Everyone chips in $5 and the winner collects the pot. Contenders have 15 minutes to get down and back up the 700 ft deep Ubehebe Crater (Ubehebe Crater - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). From up top it doesn't look that steep but once you get down there you're like "WTF did I get myself into" haha. It also is sandy so once you start getting to the steep parts it's pretty much 1 step back for every 2 forward.
