Getting ready to plan my summer trip this year.
Last year we spent two weeks offroading in some of the Western states.
First stopped in Colorado Springs and had some Heftyfab works skid plats and rock sliders installed. We then headed to Buana Vista Colorado and started the offroad portion of the trip. We headed up to St. Elmos and over tin cup pass then over to Crested Butte, CO.

We then meet up with Trey and the CCR crew and hit the San Juan Mountains.

After a few days of shelf roads we left Telluride, CO and took an offroad route over the La Sal Mountains into Moab, Utah. We did the white rim trail, long canyon, etc.. and then took a rafting trip down the Colorado river to Lake Powell. It was awesome.

Looking for something similar this year.

Here is a quick overview video. Will post pics and trip report.

Nice video! We just got back from Moab and I see a lot of the trails you ran I did too...

Fun in Moab

Did you go out west all the way from Atlantic City? That's a drive... my sister lives down in Ventnor, NJ. I gotta work my way back over there!

We left Buena Vista Colorado and made our way to the town of St. St. Elmo and then on to Tin cup pass.

Tin cup pass is approx 13 miles and would set us up to make our way to the Italian Creek/Reno divide trail. I had done the trip two years ago and camped along the pass which is just stunning. Some of the pics are from my 2013 trip

We made our way through the town of Tin cup and ended up taking a side trail that started out great but kept getting narrower and had to turn around. Lucky that the locals gave us directions and made our way to Taylor park Reservoir to pick up the Italian creek trail.
