What the Pricy Vents!!!???

Why in the World are the Hood vents and fender vents Sooo pricy!!!!

I bought a totaled 2011 off auction and its getting shipped to me this week. It appears to be missing the hood and fender vents (im hoping its with the spare parts in the truck)

$120-$150 per hood vent
$95+ per fender vent?

Any other options for getting these at a cheaper price.

Tasca Parts is not always the cheapest. Other dealers are sometimes cheaper on some items.

Plastic parts are always expensive. I paid $35 a piece for the simple body rock guards behind the rear tire.

Plastic parts are easy money. Most of the time they are a trim or aesthetics thing so people wanna replace em. Cents to make, easy to sell for a healthy mark up

Yep i just bought all new plastic , hood vents, sidevent , wiper cowl rear bumper cover , arizona sun ate them up , turned white , tried to restore them , came out like crap.
I think because they are on a limited production truck the cost is going up , look at the 3rd brake light $300ish . Luckily when i saw the price jump on ebay , amazon still had them at $100ish . I bought one then. Sun had ate that up too a few years ago.

I may want to sell my old ones, hood and side vents ,the hood vents i think could be sanded with 1500 grit and painted matte black, side vents were not to bad bad had some broken tangs on back. PM if your intrested
