SVC Baja - Securing light?

Rigid said my 30" E2 bar is 1/4-20. Those Tufnuts look pretty cool. Do they have to bought in bulk?

On the SVC Baja front bumper, the nuts to hold a 30" light is in a really tight spot. Tried the Rigid security nuts but the socket is too long to fit in there. Practically any type of socket would be too big.

Other than tack weld the nuts or drill some holes in the lights and use a cable lock, has anyone figured out a way to secure the nuts?

I had someone steal all my lights off my rig, they just unbolted them from the bumper. So then I got all pissed off and drunk and thought I would show them and JB weld and red Loctite the new one in. This was great until jeff at the shop had to get access to some stuff. Turns out red Loctite is not the answer. BUT if you crack open your light and replace the mounting studs with grade 8 bolts ( voiding warrantee). use the rigid security nuts and get them hand tight, you take a set of the gator grips or adjustable pliers with soft tip over the jaws or just e tape it you can get a bite on the security nut enough to snug it down. Then take the 7/16 nuts with blue Loctite on the end of the threads. It's not theft proof but it's a pain in the **** to get off and enough to deter someone.

Nothing against rigid, but you don't need their "security nuts". Do a search for tamper proof fastners on google....tons of choices.

Read my first post. There is a lot of options. The spot is tight and these options use specialized adapters for their tamper proof nuts. Those adapters do not fit in the spot on this bumper. Do you own a SVC Baja front bumper so you know what we are talking about? Or have you seen it in person? If you have a great solution that works and what to get, please share.

Read it. Don't have that bumper, but have had several tight areas where I needed to secure lights. My chase rack is one example.

After a bunch of searching I found these security nuts made for fence installs that worked perfectly. Made the socket into a wrench with a little cutting and welding.

Just saying do some searching for security fasteners. You might find something that will fit.
