Has anyone done this mod? I'm thinking about doing it but have never done this. Is it a difficult mod?

I've used Dynamat Xtreme in the past for sound deadening and lining Jeep speaker pods and sound bars. It's pretty easy, just time consuming to do it right.

Thanks. How easy is it to remove the door panels without creating more rattles than are already in these doors.

4 screws and a hook pick tool for the plastic piece behind the door handle.(theres a screw behind there too)

Just make sure you punch out the holes in the deadening for the door panel to go back in.

And its worth it

I have had door panels off a few times, no rattle problems. They seem to be a pretty good design.

I did sound deadening inside my doors and I'm not sure I'm happy. I did it just because I was upgrading the sound system. The Raptor door skins flop around a lot when you slam the door closed and with the extra mass of the sound deadening the really flop around. I put a piece maybe 18" tall and the width of each door on the outer skin, and I covered most of the inner frame of the door.

I'm not sure it made any difference in the sound as I only listen when driving and there is so much background noise that how could I tell???
