Just installed some +4 fenders and bedsides... would it be fine to drive without the front inner liners until I can get some custom made?

I believe so. I think some people don't run any liners because even with the larger fenders you can still mash the tire into the liner (please don't ask me how I know that).

I think if you are just driving around you should be fine but if you are in an area with lots of mud, salt, water etc. then you obviously run the risk of getting all that into your engine compartment.

Ok thanks!
For now I’m going to try and stay out of that stuff until I figure out some kind of protective covering
